The
evergreen Hollies thrilled a full house with a performance to
cherish and remember.
Two
and a half hours of songs that have now become classics in their own right,
along with tribute numbers to The Move and Mud entertained the Hollies faithful.
These
days the more mature audience is content to sit and soak up the atmosphere, but
is still willing join in when required, unlike in the sixties when we
stood, cheered and screamed our heads off. Forty two years on, some of us
are glad that we can still make it to the theatre, let alone bob up and down in
the aisle.
Which
just goes to show you, that if you are going to do a job, then do it right. The
Hollies have certainly done that over the years.
Tonight's
performance thoroughly deserved the standing ovation for surely one of the
greatest British groups to have entertained the world for so long.
Norwich will warmly welcome back the Hollies anytime.
